MERCHANTS UNLEASH SCARECROWS ON PARADE

WHAT: Visitors will be laughing, screaming, pointing and pondering while shopping this fall as Clark Street in Lincoln Park hosts its annual Scarecrows on Parade from Saturday, October 13 through Wednesday, October 31, 2012.

Dozens of local merchants will flaunt their creativity and begin this festive autumn sales season by designing and displaying a themed scarecrow in front of their businesses.

After viewing all of the Scarecrows on Parade, the public is invited to vote for their favorite at VisitClarkStreet.com. Voters will automatically be entered for a chance to win more than $800 in prizes!

Scarecrows will be at participating businesses on Clark Street between Armitage and Diversey, and on Diversey from Orchard to Lakeview. A complete list of participants will be available at VisitClarkStreet.com beginning October 12.

Voting ends at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, October 26, and winners will be announced at the fourth annual Clark Street Spooktacular on October 27.

WHEN: Saturday, October 13 – Wednesday, October 31

Scarecrows on Parade - Participating Clark Street businesses will display their unique scarecrows outdoors on the sidewalk or in storefront windows along Clark Street for two weeks beginning October 13 through October 31.
