Santa Barbara Macintosh Users Group (SBMUG) February monthly meeting, Thursday, February 18, at 6:00 PM, Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History's Farrand Hall, 2559 Puesta del Sol, Santa Barbara.
We'll have a Q&A session at 6 PM, when you are welcome to ask our member experts questions regarding your Macintosh, iPod or iPhone.
The main program begins shortly at 7 PM. Our own Randy Reetz, the main speaker, will show us some of the amazing things you can do at home and in the office in his presentation “Filemaker—A Database for the Creative Soul.” Filemaker can do much more than help you keep track of your books and CDs. It also does audio, video, emailing, dialing, stand-alone apps—kiosks! Randy will show highlights and guide us through a recent project on local history and the visitor center kiosk, both done with Filemaker.
Also, SBMUG members who attended the MacWorldExpo February 9-13 will report on what’s new in the Apple/Mac/iPad/iPhone/iPod arena. Most of the discussion will probably center on the sensational new iPad.
As always, we'll have wireless internet access, delicious refreshments, and good company! The public is welcome (bring your PC and Linux friends, too!), but only members may enter the drawing for prizes!
Raffles are held for current members only at every SBMUG main meeting. Present postcard for a bonus raffle ticket.
