Saturday’s Child: Drum Circles and the Teller-of-Tales Academy October 2, 2010

Learn the art of playing world rhythms and the techniques for crafting and presenting whimsical stories. Storyteller and percussionist, Julian Gooding, uses theatre, drumming, and oral traditions of West Africa to open and engage the creative mind and spirit of a child. The children will present a contemporary tale using percussion. Classes are held outdoors at the North Charleston River Front Park on Saturdays from October 2-23 from 3:00-4:30pm. Drums are provided - all your child needs is a portable chair or stool and a love for performing. Class sizes are limited. Suitable for ages 13-16.
