Saturday Night Jazz – Sean Clapis
Sean Clapis is a young American guitarist, composer, bandleader and educator. Born in Hartford, he began studying jazz at the Academy of the Performing Arts High School in Hartford and at the Artist’s collective. Sean earned his Bachelors in Music at the prestigious Hartt School of Music at the University of Hartford. He has studied under such notable masters as Rene McLean, Eric McPherson, Rich Goldstein, Jimmy Greene, Randy Johnston, Andy Laverne, Noah Bearman and Joe Diorio to name a few. He has performed with numerous artists including Nat Reeves, Steve Davis, Roggerio Bocato, Alan Palmer’s NewSoil band as well as his own groups. He has performed in Cape Verde, Spain and the United States and is currently producing his debut album “Convergence”.
