Saturday Morning Workshops for Kids- Drawing and Painting I
Explore two arts in one! Each week, participants will start by learning drawing skills and then use what they have learned as a basis for acrylic or watercolor painting. While drawing, aspiring artists will develop an appreciation for line, shape, perspective, negative space, proportion, and shading. Instruction in painting will be guided by the interests of the participants, and may include painting from nature, still-life, photographs and the imagination. Call 327-7066 for more information. Ages 8-14. All supplies provided. Minimum 5, maximum 12 participants. Please note that the curriculum will repeat in Session II. Preregistration required.

Saturday Morning Workshops for Kids- Jewelry I
Jewelry I will focus on using participants’ creative talents to fashion beautiful handmade pieces of jewelry sure to impress their friends and family. Students may explore beading, wire work, mixed media techniques and more. Lessons will focus on several different age-appropriate techniques with gradual increased difficulty as children progress through the class. Call 327-7066 for more information. Ages 8-14. Saturday Morning Workshops for Kids- Clay Handbuilding I
This class teaches the basics of working with clay. Students will complete various hand-building projects, including pottery and sculpture. Techniques are taught sequentially in order to build skills. Management of clay, tools, and equipment will also be considered. A variety of glaze application techniques will be demonstrated and explained. Call 327-7066 for more information. Ages 8-14. All supplies provided. Minimum 5, maximum 12 participants.
