What do you think of when you picture Saturday Night Live... topical humor commenting on the issues and figures of the day; the razor-sharp wit of skilled improvisational actors; comedy that’s got something to say?
Well that’s what you’ll get at Saturday Morning Live, the Northfield Arts Guild’s answer to the popular late-night T.V. show. The Saturday Morning Live cast of middle and high school aged students examines their current culture with the intent to make humorous commentary on what they observe. With the philosophy that humor doesn’t have to be cheap, this cast tackles subjects from Don Imus to the Iran/Great Britain hostage issue to the Northfield police report. It’s quite a mix.
SML celebrates its tenth year with a performance on Saturday, May 19th at 1:00 pm at the Northfield Arts Guild Theater, 304 Division Street. Admission is free.
