We're dedicating the month of January to the new interest in the old tool, the Kettlebell! Unlike some celebrity trainers who put out DVDs without ever having used the tool before, we're the most experienced KB instructors in Northern California and we'd be happy to introduce you to the potential of this classic strength apparatus.
Jan 8,29: KB Fundamentals, The Basics.
History... fundamentals... possibilities... this is a meet-and-greet with an ancient tool that has a modern re-birth in popularity. The Kettlebell has a lot of hype surrounding it right now, some earned, some exaggerated, but here you can get your hands on one of them and come to your own conclusions. We'll get comfortable with the foundation movements, learning to swing, clean and press the bells with all the proper considerations of correct technique. They're not mysterious... just fun.
Jan 15: KB Fundamentals, the Next Step
Let's explore some slightly more challenging movements from last week, and also ask What can you do with a pair of kettlebells? More, of course, is the answer.
Jan 22: KB Fundamentals, Combinations and Permutations.
What happens when you get creative with these iron toys of power? How about the chance to build entire workouts from just one or two of them? A program that contains more intensity, more body-changing and life-changing potential than an entire gym full of machines and gizmos. Seriously... and we'll prove it!
Feb 5: KB Fundamentals, Brutal Recess.
Now we apply the famous Bodytribe Brutal Recess concept to the kettlebells, learning to become creative with exercises and combinations that promote complete strength through mobility, complete ranges of motion and rotation. Now we step beyond the basics and travel into territory where you get to be the creative guide. We've given you the foundation, now we teach you to build upon it!
