This weekend, Gather is pleased to present San Francisco-born singer-songwriter Maurice Tani; best known as the force behind the Hillbilly Noir group, 77 El Deora. He has had a career that started as a teen with country-rock but has wound over the years through jazz, experimental electronic music, pop and a 15-year stint as the singer-guitarist with the seminal (and hugely popular) Motown-style party bands Zasu Pitts Memorial Orchestra and Big Bang Beat.
