The concept of Sarajevo Notebooks has been put forward and realized by a group of established writers and intellectuals from all regions of former Yugoslavia. The aim of the Notebooks is to revive, through the perspective of each individual literary vision, certain currents of communication between various regional and ethnic communities that had been unexpectedly and abruptly severed. At the same time the collection strives to establish a public forum in which to foster, promote and encourage dialog between emerging new writers. Thus far as many as 18 issues of Sarajevo Notebooks have come out featuring the contributions of over 300 authors from the Balkan region.
