Santa Clara Chorale Guest Artist Series Choir Invitational October 29, 2011

In the opening premier of the 2011-2012 season, the Chorale invites Schola Cantorum San Francisco back to the Mission Santa Clara. Under the direction of Dr. Paul Flight, this highly acclaimed professional choral ensemble will perform Scarlatti's Stabat Mater, a sublime Baroque setting of the famous sacred poem. The pristine sound of this ensemble and the style of Scarlatti are perfectly suited to the superb acoustic of the Mission Santa Clara. As a special treat, the Chorale and Schola Cantorum will join forces to present another Baroque masterpiece – the haunting, magical Miserere of Gregorio Allegri.
