In collaboration with the Mehli Mehta Music Foundation. The Mehli Mehta Music Foundation began Sangat in 1995 in an attempt to reclaim some of the commendable musical talent from India that had been lost to the West for want of opportunities to pursue a career in Western music here. Indian musicians who went abroad to study and stayed on to work were invited to perform at Sangat. Now, into its 13th year, the festival has become a platform for some of the finest performers of chamber music worldwide, and not only the NRI musician. This year 12 highly acclaimed musicians from all over the world will perform works by Mozart, Schumann, Dvorak, Borodin, Haydn, Schubert, Schnittke and Cesar Franck. The musicians are: Violin – Harvey de Souza, Jennifer Gilbert, Ulrich Poschner, Emi Resnick and Julian Leaper. Viola – Carla Maria Rodrigues, Robert Smissen and Garfield Jasckson. Cello – Kajsa William-Olsson, Eric Kim and Johannes Moser. Piano – Shani Diluka.
