This exhibit is an artistic interpretation of the multifaceted experience of a single place. Ennesbo is a small farming settlement in rural southern Sweden where the artist Sandra Binion's family has lived and worked for over 300 years and from which her great-grandmother emigrated to the U.S. in 1896. Through the use of various media - a multi-channel video installation, surround sound, photographs, paintings and wallpaper - the artist conveys an immediate sense of movement and discovery in the space of the exhibition. The visitor joins in the artist's own personal discovery of unfamiliar rooms, houses, landscapes and histories of the farm and its surroundings.
