Sandow Birk: American Qur'An October 17, 2009

For his project titled 'American Qur'an,' Sandow Birk is producing an authentic version of the Qur'an in contemporary English, illuminated by hand, with scenes of American life that relate to the test. The original works on paper illustrate the 114 chapters, or 'Suras,' of the Qur'an and will ultimately number more than 300 pages.
