Named after the decisive battle in the Spanish-American War, fought and won largely by African-American troops, this Afro-Latin soul collective plays in the name of struggle, love, and life. They also play in the name of seamless blends of styles drawn from throughout the African Diaspora, which tinges their Afro-Latin concoctions with funk and soul as they are with Brazilian music and hip-hop.
