San Francisco Mandolin Orchestra Spring Performance May 8, 2010

This season, our flagship SF event is at San Francisco's oldest venue, Mission Dolores, which dates from 1776. We are in the very oldest part of the building. The sonorous acoustics are perfect for us, although the selection of pieces is a little unusual for the venue! This season's offering is under theme of "The British Invasion," including 1960-70's British popular music by Emerson Lake and Palmer, Genesis, and The Beatles. We also have some contemporary classical British music by Holst and Britten and have mixed in Schubert's delightful German Dances.
