The San Francisco Inline Skate Marathon's first inaugural full marathon is a USARS (USA Roller Sports) sanctioned event, featuring $3100 of prize money in the Pro categories for men and women. Whether you skate the full (26.2 miles) or half (13.1 miles) marathon, it will be a day to remember.
Located in the Presidio, you will blade a flat racecourse with smooth, fast pavement and scenic views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, Marin, and historic Crissy Field.
The full inline skate marathon will be 26.2 miles, taking place as 18 laps on Mason Street between Halleck Street and Marine Drive (about 1.5 miles). The course will be closed to vehicle traffic.
The first race will begin with the recreational skaters, followed by the pros, concluding with an award ceremony for all.
Race registration, goody bags along with race chips can be picked up on Saturday August 11th at The Sports Basement (Presidio) between 10-4 p.m. or the morning of the race.
Parking is available just around the corner from the finish line. Head south on Halleck Street, right on Lincoln Boulevard and left on Anza Avenue. The parking lot is bordered by Lincoln, Anza, Sheridan and Montgomery and is very close to The Sports Basement.
