The three-time Grammy Award-winning San Francisco Girls Chorus concludes its 2007-2008, 29th anniversary home season with performances featuring Chorissima, the advanced professional level performance ensemble of the San Francisco Girls Chorus, conducted by Artistic Director Susan McMane, and guest artists from ODC/Dance and hammered dulcimer master and popular recording artist Malcolm Dalglish.
Two performances of the program, entitled "Dance On, My Heart" will be given Friday, May 30, at 8 p.m. at First Congregational Church in Berkeley, and Saturday, May 31, at 8 p.m. at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music Concert Hall. The program includes music for the Middle Ages to our time including composers Janika Vandervelde, Malcolm Dalglish, Zoltan Kodaly, Stephen Paulus, George Gershwin, Robert Schumann and others.
