A special benefit evening of performances, reception and dancing will be given Saturday, June 25, from 6pm to 11 pm at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco for the San Francisco Ethnic Dance Festival. The evening features extraordinary performances from around the world including Argentina, Eastern Europe, Egypt, India, Ireland, Liberia, Korea, Mexico, Peru, the Philippines, Spain, Tahiti, and a very rarely performed Yup'ik Eskimo dance.
The evening begins in the YBCA Novellus Theater at 6pm with a wine and hors d'oeuvres reception where partiers will have the chance to win an impressive selection of 52 bottles of fine wine from around the world. At 7pm revelers will head into the theater for a dynamic set of performances in the Classic Festival style. After the performance, the festivities move to a Pasion Dance Party in YBCA Forum! This sultry set of dance performances will turn up the heat and allow plenty of opportunities for the audience to get up and dance between performances to the music of Makru, the Bay Area's phenomenal acoustic/fusion/Latin band.
