San Diego State 1970: The Initial Year of the Nation's First Women's Studies Program March 25, 2010

Roberta Salper was the first full-time faculty member in the nation's first Women's Studies Program in the country in part of San Diego State College (now University). Much lore has been passed down about the troubled, contentious initial year of women's studies. Salper will share the inside story, told for the first time, excerpted from her forthcoming historical memoir.
