SAN DIEGO’S LARGEST SAMOAN EVENT

The Samoan community will be celebrating and sharing their cultural traditions, music, dance, and food during the Samoan Festival at Market Creek Plaza, from 2 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, August 15th.

The family and kid-friendly festivities are free and open to all. Event goers will see youth groups of several Samoan churches performing cultural dances and songs and competing for prizes. There will also be a speech competition, a puleeasi (cultural attire) fashion show for young women, cultural workshops, traditional games, food vendors, and a host of cultural gift items in an International Marketplace.
