Same Planet Different World Dance Theater March 12, 2011

The company presents modern and experimental works by local choreographers Jan Erkert, Ron deJesus and Sherry Zunker. The program includes the world premiere of 'HIT' by Carl Flink, in which dancers embrace singular events, like athletes, with collision as the goal, rather than victory; Artistic Director Joanna Rosenthal's 'Grey Noise,' inspired by film noir, which depicts individuals craving to make connections through manipulation, aggressive behavior, liaisons and cautious observations; and 'To Have and To Hold,' by Joanie Smith and Danial Shapiro, which takes the audience on a tour of life's fragility.
