Sahara Dance, DC’s Center for Middle Eastern Dance, offers introductory and special topics workshops every Saturday afternoon.
Sahara Dance’s workshop series provides an excellent introduction to basic techniques and terminology for belly dance beginners and an opportunity for experienced belly dancers to broaden their dance training. There is a different topic each Saturday, and all workshops are taught by Sahara Dance faculty.
Most workshops are open to all levels, with choreography structured to be accessible to beginner students and offering modifications to challenge advanced dancers.
All workshops are held at Sahara Dance Central in Tenleytown. Topics and dates are listed below. Full workshop descriptions and registration details are available at http://saharadance.com/workshops
