RYEZ (pronounced "rise")- South East London's Rock'n'Soul Diva. Sassy, edgy and polished beyond X-factor, her band have been cutting their teeth and paying their dues, in demand on the West End industry "three songs and off" showcase circuit. A cool mix of Mick Jagger, Annie Lennox, Freddie Mercury and Tina Turner (among many more classic influences), a female Bowie with her own individual twist. An early review (in the Guardian) reported "RyeZ’s voice is almost too good for the confines of the studio. Her range has the earthy qualities of Tracy Chapman or Joan Armatrading. Her gift needs to be nurtured’... .Time to swell their following with a proper set at one of the best music "scenes" in the land.... SOUTH LONDON! http://www.ryez.co.uk/
BLAH BLAH BLAH Death To The Indie Disco. Exciting young firebrands with twisted nursery rhymes made using a funny guitar, double bass, drum kit and an appetite for observation and education. They aspire to be the musical equivilent of early learning sensation 'El Nombre' (plasticine mouse bearing similar resemblance to Zorro. He teaches the other mice how to draw numbers and shapes in the sand). Frequenting the loop on the far east end of the London Undergrounds Central Line, they offer their seat to the elderly or pregnant. Well-mannered, that they prefer panninis to pie & mash or jellied eels." Very entertaining and loved for it already. http://www.myspace.com/blahblahblahandfriends
