Ryan Star / Below Jupiter / The Vibronics / Jesea Lee August 22, 2009

Born and raised on Long Island, Ryan Star (also known as r.star) is best known for his stint as a contestant on the reality show Rock Star. Though he was eliminated from the show, producer Mark Burnett helped set Star up to record a live album, called Dark Horse after his nickname on the show. Prior to appearing on the show, Star had released one album, Songs from the Eye of an Elephant. His newest album, 11:59, drops on September 15th. In addition to his appearance on Rock Star, Star's song Brand New Day is the theme song to the TV drama Lie To Me, and Last Train Home, a track off of his newest album, appeared on the soundtrack to the film P.S. I Love You. His songs have also featured on TV shows Survivor and One Life To Live. Star has opened for acts such as Collective Soul and David Cook.
