RW/FF: Rewind. Fast Forward. June 5, 2009

As summer approaches, many of us are itching to travel. Deciding where to go can be tough. Copenhagen? Phuket? Toledo?

We had something more novel in mind.

On Friday, June 5, you have the opportunity to take a trip with Philanthro Productions….through time! Hop on board as we bring you a party that will bridge the gap between Grandmaster Flash and Kanye; snap bracelets and shutter shades; manhattans and RBVs…and so much more.

For this chronological jaunt, our charity partner is 826LA, a non-profit that is dedicated to helping students develop their writing skills, free of charge, at two drop-in tutoring centers here in Los Angeles. Proceeds from RW/FF benefit 826LA, home of the world-famous Echo Park Time Travel Mart.

The Echo Park Time Travel Mart is a retail operation in front of 826LA’s primary L.A. tutoring center, whose advisers include director-producers Spike Jonze and Judd Apatow. There, you can buy hard-to-find products like Viking odorant, dinosaur eggs, and robot emotion circuit boards.
