Rustic Forms - Traditional Sculptures Exhibition by Narrattom Das & Anup Bhoyar. Art2Day gallery on the eve of festivity, has organized a beautiful exhibition of traditional sculpture in ceramics & terracotta along with paintings. Art2Day gallery has been promoting art based on Indian traditional & Folk Art, other than Indian contemporary & modern Art, this is their 5th exhibition based on Orissa Art, earlier we have showcased Pata Paintings, Warli Paintings,& others. Narrottam a well known for his skills in traditional Orissa pottery has graduated in B.F.A. prestigious Dhauli College of Art & Crafts Bhubaneswar. This young sculptor has won many accolades for his works on state & National level, and have been selected for number of workshops on traditional folk & tribal art in Orissa. This natural gifted sculptor is currently working as Working as Senior Technical Instructor at Regional Pottery Training Center, Gramodaya Sangh, at Bhadrawati, Dist., Chandrapur Maharashtra, since 2006, prestigious Gramodaya Sangh is the oldest Pottery Training Center in India which trains artists in various forms of pottery in terracotta & ceramics. Anup Bhoyar a Art Teacher from Yavatmal has a MFA degree from Nagpur Art College, he has been part of few group exhibitions in Vidharba. This would be first experience for Anup to display his work along with Narrottam's sculptures in Pune Rustic Forms exhibition is all about fusion between Orissa's traditional sculpture style and new contemporary approach by Narrattom. On one side you would find sculptures based on lord Krishna and his lilas and on other hand you would see beautiful adaption of sculpture based on modern day to day life subject like Beauty & Tattoo parlors, Happy family etc. Other than this Narrottam is displaying beautiful pots in unglazed ceramics.
