Russian Virtuosity with the Southwest Michigan Symphony Orchestra March 14, 2009

Chinese born pianist Chu-Fang Hugan's performances have been called "strong, assertive...and bursting with energy and intensity". This young virtuoso will perform the enduringly popular Piano Concerto No. 2 by Rachmaninoff. The Lake Michigan Youth Orchestra will joni the SMSO in Borodin's Prince Igor Overture, and the SMSO will conclude the concert with Dmitri Shostakovich's most popular work, his Fifth Symphony.
