RUNCIBLE SPOON, with vocalist Leah State, combine the sonorous sounds of strings with the contrast of clarinet, piano and voice creating diverse textures and melodic colors. Based in a jazz flavour, this innovative quartet also draws from klezmer, folk and gypsy influences arriving at something musically eclectic drawing their muse as easily from tradition as from blazing a newer musical trail.
