Run Sheep Run: the World of John Austin Sands Monks (1850-1917) April 17, 2010

This exhibition features paintings and prints by American artist and life-long New Englander J. A. S. Monks. In Monks' time, he was considered one of America's foremost animal painters and enjoyed the distinction of being the only pupil of the distinguished landscapist George Inness, Sr.
