Grab your running shoes and Halloween costumes and head to The Health Museum’s first annual sanctioned road race and fun run, Run for Your Life on Sat., Oct.23. Participants will celebrate the Halloween season with a festive, wellness-focused event that raises funds to support science-based educational programming at the museum through the John D. Hawkins Memorial Scholarship Fund.Event sponsorships include Smart Water, Vitamin Water, My Fit Foods, Community Coffee, Momentum Audi, Sun & Ski Sports and Finish Strong Sports.
Five hundred to 1,000 runners will participate in a 5K race and a 1K family walk through the Houston’s Museum District. The race begins and ends at The Health Museum, located at 1515 Hermann Drive, Houston, Texas 77004, with a post-race party that will be a spook-tacular celebration for the entire family. Costumes are encouraged for all runners and prizes will be awarded to the top finishers. All registered runners get free admission to the museum after the race.
