Ruby Hunter is joined by Archie Roach as she tells the story of her life through words and music, accompanied by the Australian Art Orchestra led by Paul Grabowsky. Described as a ?breathtakingly honest and playful performance ? ?, Ruby?s Story begins with her carefree childhood among the Narrindjeri people of the Riverland, moving through the experiences of the Stolen Generation. Through lyrical and poignant songs, Ruby?s Story is a tale about the abuse of power and the power of love; about facing up to past wrongs; and our shared responsibility to battle for the survival of our environment and the great river systems upon which all of our lives depend.
