By definition, the perfect carnival is a brash and colourful mix of colours and sounds that evoke unique emotions and an overriding sense of fun… and as most local fans of quality dance music over the years can tell you, Pure Promotions’ traditional Ruby & Friends Carnival gathering on the sister island of Gozo delivers just what you’ve read above, and so much more.

On Carnival Friday the 1st of February KU Club in Gozo will host number 57 in the Ruby & Friends Global Journey series featuring the Asian flavour of China as the theme for Pure Promotions’ first event of 2008.

Transformed with Chinese décor and exclusive custom made visuals, KU Club will host two rooms laden with cutting edge sounds. The main room will host warm up sets by DJ Ryan and a one off set by DJ Supermario followed by the customary 4-hour set of electronic progressive gems courtesy of our local dance scene’s premier player DJ RUBY.

The second room will offer alternative music delights from a fine selection of local DJs all night headlined by Miss Roberta. Also of note is that Ruby’s set will be recorded and then made available for free download from www.pureruby.com, so make sure to present yourselves at your wildest and make some noise!

With only 1800 tickets (priced at 10eur / Lm4.30c) available for this event and being Carnival with many clubbers expected to go up to Gozo for the weekend, we highly recommend to acquire your tickets well in advance because paying at the door on the night is not a guarantee.

As our previous Ruby & friends party in Gozo, after hours will be held at Club Paradiso in Xlendi. Watch out for a small pre party on Thursday 31st January at a venue that will be revealed soon and Ruby’s exclusive set at Nadur carnival street party on Saturday 2nd February.

No other event will provide you with the ultimate carnival experience as Ruby & Friends Global Journey 57: China!
