Route 66 80th Anniversary Festival June 22, 2006

A fun filled weekend is planned for June 23-25, 2006 for all the Route 66 enthusiasts that are going to be drawn to the "Duke City" for this event. The host hotel for this celebration will be the Hotel Albuquerque at Old Town, formerly known as the Sheraton Old Town. This site will play host to a number of vendors, writers, artists who will gather together to sell their Route 66 related wares to Route 66 enthusiasts. A car show, ice cream social, and a sock hop will be held on these grounds as well. Besides these events there will be other tours and sightseeing opportunities in the area for those who want to learn more about the heritage of Route 66 in New Mexico.
