Round 29 Closing Reception & Performance February 28, 2009

Project Row Houses announces the closing of a successful Round 29 THUNDERBOLT SPECIAL, The Great Electric Show and Dance After Sam Lightnin’ Hopkins. The closing will culminate on the evening of February 28 with a performance by the Round 29 artists Terry Adkins, James Andrew Brown, Sherman Fleming, Charles Gaines and George Smith performing under the alias of The Lone Star Wolf Recital Corps, The Sacred Order of the Twilight Brothers and Blanche Bruce. The performance will include a variety of musically based vignettes that relate to the life of Lightnin’ Hopkins.

Prior to the performance will be a reception featuring the music of Lightnin’ Hopkins performed by Houston’s own Oscar O’Bear. During the reception the public is invited to view the houses, visit with the artists and enjoy Lightnin’s music.

Performance: 7:30 p.m., Eldorado Ballroom, 2310, Houston, TX, 77004.

Both events are free and open to the public.
