In 1976, three photographers captured images in each of Kentucky’s 120 counties, making a photographic record of Kentucky during the 1976 Bicentennial. What resulted was “Rough Road,” which will be the focus of Louisville’s 2011 Photographic Biennial beginning this October. Other biennial venues include the Hite Art Institute Galleries at UofL, Kaviar Forge and Gallery, Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft, Mellwood Art Center, Louisville Visual Arts Association, 21C Museum and more.
