Acclaimed as a modern masterpiece, this existentialist play is the fabulously inventive tale of Shakespeare's Hamlet as told by two of its minor characters. The already dead duo of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are friends of Hamlet's from Wittenberg who are called upon by King Claudius to come and keep his step son/nephew company and essentially spy on him. We all know how the story ends, but these two blokes trudge through life with hope that everything will be alright. Can they actually control their own destiny, or will fate win the day? Is this a tragedy or a comedy? Can life be anything but both? Director, Dinna Myers, invites you to step into a raucously funny world where anything can happen - or can it? Recommend for patrons over 16 years of age due to sexual content.
