Rose & Thistle, Irish Acoustic Group February 2, 2007

Rose & Thistle, based in Warren, Ohio, make their debut appearance at Mullaney’s Harp & Fiddle on Friday, February 2nd at 9:00 pm.

Rose & Thistle performing traditional and contemporary Irish music is comprised of Joan Quinlan on Guitar, Harmonica, Mandolin and Vocals; Mike Quinlan on Bodhran, Djembe, Bongos, Spoons and Vocals; and Zachary Miller on Fiddle and Vocals. The band is interactive – involving the audience in their energetic, upbeat songs and tunes with their unique arrangements. Their music is reflective of the spirit, humor, love and sadness associated with the Irish.

Rose & Thistle have two recordings to their credit: - “Catch the Irish Spirit” and released February 2006 “Grab Your Coat”. Along with being excellent singers and musicians, the group has authored several songs on their second recording.

Rose & Thistle is a high energy, toe tapping group; they’ll bring you back for more.
