Rorie Kelly is a singer-songwriter-guitarist from Far Rockaway, New York. Jay's musical career brought him from New York City to California and back to Long Island, where he began to perform and record as a solo artist in 2004. Scott's sound has been called "Americana," "bluesy soul" and "alt country" and is easily recognizable because of his distinctive, slightly gravely vocal style that has drawn comparisons to Bob Seeger, Bruce Springsteen and Joe Cocker. His "groove-inspired band" backs his blues/soul sound. Long Island-based singer-songwriter John Flor Sisante shows a stylistic range from folk to indie rock to Latin. For the 2007-2008 season, 'Live in the Lobby' shows begin with a 30-minute "Songwriter Spotlight" featuring acoustic performances by two or three local songwriters, followed by the featured performers playing until about 10 PM.
