About John Wood: In 1998, John Wood was a rising executive at Microsoft when he took a vacation that changed his life. What started as a trekking holiday in Nepal led Wood to find his unique mission: to change the world one book and one child at a time by setting up libraries and schools in the developing world. He was soon driven to leave his career, and in 2000, Wood founded Room to Read to help children across the developing world break the cycle of poverty through the power of education.
John Wood is a three-time speaker at the Clinton Global Initiative, a five-time winner of Fast Company's Social Capitalist Award and the only non-Asian to be honored with Time Magazine's Asian Heroes Award. He has appeared on Oprah, CNN, PBS and other outlets.
General ticket price: $100; VIP ticket price: $250.
