The Acting Company has turned out some of the finest actors of our time – Kevin Kline, Patti LuPone, Jesse L. Martin – to name a few. Who knows?...the members of the company you will see could very well be tomorrow’s Oscar and Emmy winners. With their visit to the Cowan Center, these accomplished actors will take on the greatest love story ever told, ROMEO & JULIET. Shakespeare’s tragic tale of the young star-crossed lovers from rival families in Verona, remains one of his most popular and most performed works. The Acting Company will provide a purist approach to traditional theatre. These highly trained actors will not be body mic'd and will perform to an intimate audience limited to only 1000 patrons. The Cowan Center is honored to bring Shakespeare and this company to Tyler for the first time. The Acting Company has been honored with the Obie Award, the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Award, Citibank’s Excellence in Education Award, two Audelco Awards and a TONY Honor for Excellence in Theater.
