This video conference takes a critical look at the current situation in Kenya, examining the role of the Diaspora, the media, and the international community in effecting meaningful change. The goal of the dialogue is to foster greater understanding of the issues pertaining to Kenya's current situation and explore possibilities for meaningful change.
The conference will bring together contributors from the African Diaspora, scholars, Canadian government officials, representatives from mass media, and local and international community members. Invited guests include guest speakers from Africa, North America, and Europe.
The dialogue will address issues and representations of the current situation, including alternative perspectives, the current role and potential contributions of the Diaspora, and recommendations for action.
