From cityclub.org:
"Roland Fryer, a 27-year-old assistant professor of economics at Harvard University, will speak about the racial student achievement gap and what to do about it.
At the age of 25, Fryer accepted an appointment to the Society of Fellows at Harvard, one of academia?s most prestigious research posts. Using intricate economic theory in the field of African American studies, he applies scientific and economic tools to issues of race and inequality and has co-authored work on such subjects as the Black-White achievement gap, the causes and consequences of distinctly Black names and color-blind affirmative action. His colleagues have said, ?As a pure technical economist theorist, he is first rate.? "
