FLYING BLIND REUNION CONCERT
October 1, 2011 - 7:00 pm
Flying Blind, conceived in the bedrooms and basements of life-long friends in the summer of 1993, soared to the pinnacle of their success in 2000 when the local rock and roll band played to 10,000 fans at B-93's Summerfest. Their single Smokescreen was getting a lot of play nationally, and the CD Push came in 2001. The band's fame grew when Smokescreen was added to the soundtrack for American Pie II. The CD Time To Go followed in '02, after which the band moved to Los Angeles to build a following there. On New Year's Eve, 2005, the remaining members of Flying Blind played what they thought was going to be their final show to a full house. However, you can't keep a good band down, much less one with so many followers so the boys are back, and holding their reunion concert at The State with an outdoor party co-sponsored by The State and ClearChannel. Help the band bid its formal farewell to retirement along with 2,500 ardent fans on Saturday, Oct. 1. There will be plenty of food, wine and beer, along with a VIP lounge and full bar inside the theater, so get your tickets now for the biggest block party -- and reunion concert -- of the year!
