Multi-talented comedian, actor and writer Rodney Carrington will return to Evansville for a performance at The Centre’s Aiken Theatre on Saturday, March 13th. Rodney has recorded eight major record label comedy albums selling over two million copies, has starred in his own self-titled TV sitcom, which ran on ABC for two seasons and most recently co-wrote and co-starred with Toby Keith in the award-winning movie Beer for My Horses.
This past summer, Rodney released a new all-music CD, El Nino Loco, his 7th album on Capitol Nashville, which debuted at #2 on Billboard’s comedy charts.
In August, Rodney released his new Christmas album, Make It Christmas. 'It ain't got a funny song on it,' he says. 'It's a big-band, Frank Sinatra-type Christmas record; something I've always wanted to do.' The albums includes many holiday classics such as 'Mary, Did You Know?,' 'O Holy Night' and 'Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas”.
According to Pollstar, Rodney has been among the top ten grossing touring comedians as he has performed for sold out audiences throughout the US and Canada for the last five years.
