“Rock for Dimes”- Vancouver's Big Corporate Battle of the Bands
On Thursday, February 22nd, Vancouver’s top business professionals will trade in their suits and ties for ripped jeans and guitars at March of Dimes Canada's Rock for Dimes fundraiser. Five bands featuring groups comprised of Vancouver executives will shake The Roxy and raise money for its Stroke Recovery Canada program.
The Singeltones, No Reply, Twisted Solicitor, The Webtones and Bank Act will compete for bragging rights as Vancouver's best corporate band, at the same time showcasing their talents to music industry professionals.
Music producers Mike Fraser, Jeff Dawson and Randy Staub are on board as judges, as well as Jack FM on-air personality Ken “Jooyner” Allen, who will be doing double duty as both judge and emcee.
The evening includes great entertainment, great food, prizing and a live auction.
The event is sponsored by Gowlings, McCarthy Tetrault, Singleton Urquhart Legal Counsel, TD Canada Trust, Telus and the Roxy Vancouver, with special media sponsor 96.9 Jack FM.
Doors will open at 6 p.m. on Thursday, February 22nd at the Roxy Vancouver, located at 932 Granville Street.
