Grab your backpack and bring the family to the Rock Creek Park BioBlitz, May 18-19, noon to noon. Presented by National Geographic and the National Park Service, this event will bring together scientists, naturalists and volunteers to observe and record as many plant and animal species as possible in 24 hours. Volunteers of all ages are needed to help count species of bugs, birds, butterflies, bats and other organisms that call Rock Creek Park home.
