The Rochester Women’s Community Chorus (RWCC) celebrates the season in song during its winter concert, “Starry Night,” on December 8, 2007. The performance will be held at 7:30 p.m. at Hochstein School of Music. Acclaimed performer and humanitarian Thomas Warfield will join the chorus for his rendition of the song “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.”
The evening’s program includes the following songs: “Choose Something Like a Star,” (from ‘Frostiana’) “Swinging on a Star,” and “Vincent" ("Starry Starry Night"), among other star-studded songs. The program runs the gamut: from popular carols, to more formal choral pieces, to a bossa nova number. There are songs to appeal to everyone.
The RWCC winter concert benefits the “Lucy Leone Fund” of the Jacques Lipson Cancer Center at Rochester General Hospital.
Hochstein School of Music is located at 50 North Plymouth Avenue in Rochester, NY.
Tickets for the concert are $12/general public, $10/students & seniors, and $7/children aged 12 and younger. Advance tickets are available for a $2 discount at Parkleigh. (215 Park Ave in Rochester.)
