Robert Koenig recreates the harrowing history of Anton Dilger. Although Dilger was born and raised in Virginia, he grew up deeply immersed in the German culture of his immigrant father and became a spy for Germany during World War I. He was an innovator in germ warfare, who propagated anthrax in the basement of his Chevy Chase home.
