Ring in 2010 at Lumen’s Roaring 20’s New Years Eve Celebration. The spacious lounge aims to entertain, as it morphs its modern concept into a 1920’s speakeasy, minus the bootleg liquor, but instead with an all-inclusive $55 package.
While reminiscing the year gone by and relishing in the year to come, partygoers can bid adieu to 2009 with an open bar that lasts from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. and enjoy a delectable appetizer buffet by Chicago’s favorite corner bistro, Duchamp. Executive Chef Michael Taus will offer an array of eclectic contemporary American infused bites with Mediterranean and French influences.
It’s no secret that speakeasies are famously known for fun, food, live music and dancing. Lumen has the past and present covered, providing the tunes of the 20’s as a highlight of the evening. A live three-piece brass band will provide a welcoming vibe at the door and DJ Lil Mikey adds favorite hit songs into the soundtrack for the celebration. With the candle-lit ambiance and the jazzed up décor, clad in prohibition posters and red roses, the speakeasy gambling area will also be a keen festivity for partygoers to test their luck at black jack and craps.
