Riverside Theatre's 25th Anniversary Event: The Sound of Rodgers March 23, 2013

Sunday, 24 March, Riverside returns to Broadway to celebrate its 25th Anniversary.

The Sound of Rodgers showcases the music of Richard Rodgers (of Rodgers & Hammerstein).The Broadway legend wrote over 900 songs for more than 70 shows including “Blue Moon”, “Oh What A Beautiful Morning”, “Surrey With The Fringe On Top”, “Edelweiss”, “My Funny Valentine”, “Some Enchanted Evening” and many more.

Opera Australia’s Stuart Maunder directs this musical extravaganza which features stars of Opera and Musical Theatre, Blake Bowden, Lucy Maunder, Dominica Matthews and musical director Anne-Maree McDonald. Together they have fashioned something entirely afresh from the songs everybody knows by heart.

Patrons will be served afternoon tea in the Riverside courtyard which will be transformed into a Palm Court for the day including a live string quartet.

This very special event is a way for Riverside to thank its audience for 25 years of loyalty
